2009 Rogue - Cowl separating from Fender.

Hi, so I had an accident a year or so ago where the front cowl was replaced, as well as some other things. Anyway, a short time after, I noticed that the right side of the cowl was separating from the fender. It wasn't too bad, but has gotten worse over time. I see some notches as if a piece should wedge in there to make it snug, but not sure if something's missing or not?

I've looked at the field service manual, http://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual? ... e/2009/EXT page 13, and it shows where it should meet, but I'm not sure how it stays together. I can push it in and it stays in place until I start driving and then eventually works it's way back out.

Do you know how to make the two pieces line up and stay there?

Check to make sure that the screw (on page 13, there is a screw on passenger side between number 1 and 4) is there. If that one is missing, the tab (the rectangle section on your picture) won't be strong enough to hold it. The screw is behind the wheel wall so you will have to either push it aside or remove it to access it.
