I am getting ready for a long trip and have been wanting to change my headlamps, the Lo beams and Hi beams are two totally different shades of light. I know the low beams are HID I believe, I would like to know if the factory HID D2R type are 4300K or if they are 6000K, I wanted to get a set of high beams that are in the same light spectrum, I am just not sure if that is 4300K or what was used from the factory, I want them to all be the same color though. I want the bright white, probably around 4300k - 5000k. I am looking for a set of high beams to match the color of the low beam factory HID basically. I think the low beam HID lamps are D2R and the high beams are 9005 HB3, if I am incorrect can someone please let me know. Also I am not sure what the factory wattage is for the OEM high beams or the OEM HID lamps, I would be most appreciative

Only the very brightest halogens get into the same color-temperature range as the lowest xenons, so mixing and matching is likely to get you close but probably never identical. Phillips "White Vision" bulbs come in at 4200K, "Diamond Vision" bulbs come in at 5000K, but all bulbs (even LED's) dim over time, and the CT shifts as they do. So an exact match when new is unlikely to stay that way.

Nissan doesn't publish CT specs, but most OE xenons are 4300K. The 4300K's are very slightly yellow and cut through mist and fog markedly better than whiter/bluer light, which is why most OE's prefer that range unless they're pursuing "cool factor" more than performance. Your housings are definitely reflectors, so your xenons will definitely be D2R (D2S is for projectors). Factory wattage is 35W. H3/9005 does sound right for the high beams, and factory wattage is 60~65W.

Thank you so much for the info VStar, much appreciated. I suppose buying a matching complete set new is the only way to get close to the same light spectrum, until they start to fade anyways. I appreciate your help.

You're most welcome. Yep, a whole set is the ticket.
