I have a 2006 Murano now and i like it very much EXCEPT for the Navigation system. I can't stand that little joystick and i heard that the new Murano had touch screen is that true because my dealer did not know? Also any other suggestions on a new Murano should i wait for a 2010 or are the changes so miner that a 2009 would be a better deal.

I just looked at the interior of an '06 Murano while I was getting a second key programmed, and I gotta say that looks terrible in comparison to the '09. The only differences from the 9 to the 10 is the packages available and I think some new colors. So there is really no change for the '10 model year. Yes, the '09 has a touch screen nav, don't know why your dealer would not know that. I got a wonderful deal on a used '09, lovin' it. You will love the new improved interior.

Doesn't make a lot of difference as the 09 and 10 are going to be essentially the same vehicle, other then a couple of minor changes to the various packages. The interior of the 09/10 is far and away a vast improvement over the previous generations. It looks and feels like it was transplanted directly from the Infinite. It's one of the many things that sold us on the Murano over the new RX and Q5.

As far as the Nav goes, the 09/10 Nav is superb! On our LE we can control it through touch screen, a master dial directly below the screen, some control with steering wheel buttons, and best of all through a superb voice recognition system that really works. The entire tech package is user friendly, it all works and works very well.

Is it my imagination or just the design; are the new Murano's smaller ? I see them and almost think they're Rogues sometimes.

The current Murano is slightly larger than the last generation.

The 2010 Murano is 188.5 inches long, 74.1 inches wide, and 68.1 inches high. It has 7.4 inches ground clearance.

The 2007 Murano is 187.6 inches long, 74 inches wide, and 66.5 inches high. It has 7 inches ground clearance.

The 2010 Rogue is 182.9 inches long, 70.9 inches wide, and 66.3 inches high. It has 8.3 inches ground clearance.

Personal opinion...I think the new Murano should have been a couple inches taller, if for no other reason than to give it better differentiation from the Rogue and make it seem more competitive to mid-size SUV competitors.

By chance I was parked next to a new Rogue last night, both of us being the same silver color too. When looked at side by side, the Mo is decidedly bigger, wider, and (personal bias showing here) more formidable looking. Of course, the 20 inchers on the Mo help make a difference too, with the Rogue definitely looking more ‘delicate’.
