I have a 2009 Rogue SL that I just replaced the blower fan & blower resistor in last week, when I got the car back from mechanic it ran fine, Tuesday night went to get food while sitting in line VDC light came on car still drove home fine. Wednesday when I left for work car felt sluggish & didn't have the power it did Tuesday night & Vdc light is off now had to take car back home & get my in laws truck. Called mechanic he came to house with scan tool & said the code said it lost connection with the accelerator, reset code tried it in yard everything worked correctly again. Drove car Friday to home depot ran fine, but when pulling back in driveway vdc light came on again. Now Saturday evening decide go fill up with gas before ice & snow hit, now back to being sluggish & no power & accelerator only works pressed to the floor.
Transmission was replaced about 25000 miles ago.
Had no problems with transmission or acceleration before the blower mother & resistor were replaced.

The resistor is right next to the accelerator pedal and the whole pedal assembly needs to be removed to reach the blower, so the tech may have dinged the APP wiring or damaged the assembly. I'd try doing a CTPL on it to re-learn the APP position, but if that doesn't help then I'd say it's likely he messed something up.

Hopefully that will fix it. Just seems like if it was the APP it wouldn't drive with all power 2 times & little to no power the other 2 times. Maybe just an electrical gremlin.

What you're seeing is undoubtedly the ECM going "limp" every time it throws an APP code. Most APP problems are come-and-go, so cycling the key will often make them go "past" and return the car to normal for awhile. However, if the problem is damaged hardware or wiring, it's unlikely to get better.
