I have just over 97,000 miles on my 09 1.8l and to this day I have not had to replace or repair anything on this car. However, my rotors are pretty warped, and I am going to replace them along with the pads. I am also going to be pro-active and replace my spark plugs.

I have called around and have done my due dilligence, but I am wondering if anyone could give me some advise to influence my decision in a good way to prevent issues down the road. I plan on keeping this car until I set a mileage record or the body falls off. (Maybe I will get tired of it too)

I do have ABS and the car is a 4-door sedan

I have a few choices on part stores and am going to list thier part quotes below:

Nissan Dealer OEM:
Pads $81.77
Rotors $109.48ea
Plugs $20.07ea

CarQuest:
Pads: They state OEM equivelant at $56.99
Rotors: $52.99ea
Plugs: OEM NGK Iridium $15.69ea

NAPA:
Pads: Top of line 1 pc ceramic $59.59
Rotors: $37.58ea (Not sure why they are so cheap)
Plugs: OEM Equiv Denso Iridium $11.99ea

Advance Auto:
Pads: OEM Equiv Wearever Ceramic $45.99
Rotors: $54.99
Plugs: Denso $11.99ea

Auto Zone:
Pads: $48.99 Duralast Ceramic
Rotors: $51.99ea (2yr warranty)
Plugs: $6.99ea Autolite Iridium

The parts I put in bold are the one's I was going to choose, but some are due to being in stock while others have to be ordered. I am employed full time, go to college full time, own a business I do part time, and am a father of 2 boys I see every weekend and drive 12 hours total picking them up and taking them home. I am taking the day off tomorrow to get all the parts and do a slew of other tasks I have not had time to do. I am also completing all the work on Saturday, then going to my son's baseball all star game on sunday.

My main question is about the autolite plugs. I know they are cheap, but has anyone used them? I plan on trying them out and if they work poorly I will return them and put my NGK's back in and order NGK or Denso.

IMO I would stick with the factory plugs rotors and brakes just based on how well they have performed for you. I just had my brakes checked at 75000 miles service and still have over 50% brake pad left. Aftermarket can be as good or better but if you go to cheap, quality will suffer and you'll spend more in the end.

I'd stick with whatever plug is in there now. Pull one out and then go to NAPA or car quest and duplicate it.

make SURE you get the same plug as what came in it. i had to pay like 12$ a plug. they tried to sell me some E3 plugs that "fit" but wouldnt go down into the plug tube on th head. you also need like a 17MM LONG deep well. it was VERy straight forward and took me about 2 hours on the plugs.

Get your brakes from ROCKAUTO.com cheapest place around. I put Hawk pads on it. I love the brand on my mustang and miata..

FYI you will loose coolant when you do the plugs so plan a decent coolant flush/exchange while you are in there.

GET the NGK Iridiums.

In mexico sells the FRITEC Specific Ceramic brake pads for $25. In my Nissan versa, the pads performs well in harsh conditions. I recommend the FRITEC pads.
In plugs I recommend the NGK plugs

Beware of those iridium autolite plugs from AZ for the versa, the hex size was larger than the original and would not fit, and when I brought them back for replacement i was told that autolite does not make a correct plug..get the ngk or denso ..when replacing the plugs you do not have to drain the coolant, just remove the throttle body from the manifold and leave it connected to the coolant pipes..and clean it while your in there with some brake clean. As far as the brakes go factory is best but duralast has been fine in my experience

I don't know about power stop, I use EBC rotors with Hawk Pads. Much better stopping power, easily modulated. Very happy with the combination on my V.

I will say the same combination on my Murano was not so good, they stopped well, but were very grabby, caused a couple grip issues on icy roads.

I have 201,000 miles now. I did only front pads. Still the original plugs and rotors. This car is a keeper.
