Hi, I was dropping a line to introduce myself, I'm literaly new to this forum and to the Nissan family with a 2009 Nissan Versa S HB. I drive a blue onyx HB, with gold stripes and a tan interior. Not much of a introduction, photos will follow once weather here clears up and I can get out and get some photos. Got my Versa after the death of two domestic cars I've driven the past five years, one a Chevy Cavalier and a classic Ford Mustang. So far, I think everything I've heard from Nissan has definitely been proven true in the Versa. Looking forward to meeting everyone, usually I'm awkward as a duck in introducing myself, so forgive me if this seems a little off or, well weird. Just saying hi, I'll be around the forums.

A 1994 Cavalier was my first car, they aren't bad either, I would have driven mine alot longer had the engine and transmission not totally died on me all at once. 2001-2005 Cavs look sharp and I still like them over the Cobalt.

Still, I really love my V, its not a Mustang, but I still have fun with it and I'll get pics as soon as I can, weather here right now is not good for photos. Nothing but rain Still, nice to meet you !

Welcome, from a neighbor! I bought mine two years ago, just after Hunter Nissan first got them, although they had to trade with a dealer in Georgia to get a white CVT for me. I still love it, and my daughter bought one last year after she graduated from college and loves hers, too!

Hiya back, sounds like you really came to like them, I know I've really enjoyed my Versa . I haven't seen many around town and when I do its a happy squeak moment. Mine came from Anderson Nissan, my mother had a bad experience with a chevy engine a few years ago and she's pretty much well double dared anyone in the family from getting a car there...so for the sake of peace, mine came from Anderson. Its my first Versa and Nissan and I have to say, I've had a blast. Its fantastic to hear from another hometown Versa owner, that made my day, just now checked up on the forum. Hope all is well with this charming gas predicament we've had

Sucks for yall out that way. Glad we haven't had quite the shortages the mtns have had. Making a trip to Boone about every weekend isn't helping me though.

Hope you enjoy the car and just ask if you have any questions.

My daughter got hers at Anderson, too, but she lives in Buncombe County. I thought I'd give local service a try, since Hunter's not far from my house, but I've ended up going to a local mechanic most of the time, so it really didn't matter!

As for gas, I work near Spartanburg, and even though it's been tight there, it's never been totally out the way H'ville was for so long, so I'm still working.

I know, I would have liked going to Hunter a little bit better, they aren't but maybe ten miles away from my house, but to have seen the dark look Mom came me the moment I mentioned Hunter, *ruefull chuckle* it was wiser to opt for Anderson. Sorry, a mothers scorn can be scarier than anything on this earth and that look was un-nerving to say the least to me, that and grudges just go that deep with families here in the mountains, even though I was too young to remember the whole thing if that gives any idea how long ago that was. 1993 maybe earlier.

Nothing against the cars offered there, a Versa is still a Versa no matter where you get it, and I think we ended up paying for Mom growling over Hunter anyways, the salesperson we got was brand new and he was difficult to deal with after the deal had closed. It was late when we closed on the car and promised a free detail for not being able to do it that night and it would be Monday before the dealership would be open again, mind you Saturday night about a month or so ago is when we got mine.

Come that Monday I to get the tag and detail work, guy actually almost snobbed me for another sale he was doing and didn't want to honor his IOU. I was fine with waiting for him to close his sale, that was different, but his attitude was hideous and I wasn't pleased, so in many ways, my Mom got a return glare for insisting on doing the deal at Anderson and going a extra ten miles out of the way.

I will say this much, I made certain I got my detail work and it was done properly. Everyone else there was great, the general manager was nice to deal with and I like the technicians (I've worked in the auto industry before) and dont hold the whole dealership responsible for the salespersons attitude, but I'm defiently reconsidering taking the car all the way there for regular matience. Especially with our gas woes.

Still, hope I didn't cause offense over that, with money being the way it is, I know our area needs all the local business it can get.

Thanks and so far I've enjoyed the car and I'll be honest if it weren't for my Versa, this gas thing would have been a whole lot worse for me and my job. Wasn't easy, but if I'd been driving my Mustang, I would have ended up in a ditch slap out of fuel with all the driving I do have do.

Lets see the total amount I will end up paying at the end of five years will roughly be with interest: About 20K, which considering that price of the car is almost 17k, 20k with interest isn't too bad for a reasonably equipped Versa. I had the option of going with a base model that would have been alot less, but the 17k one was just prettier and more comfortable to refuse. There's one other Versa in town thats a dead ringer for mine and the only way to tell them apart is to look at the stripping. Mine is gold and theirs is silver.
