Hey guys, check out the teaser shots for the Maxima 2009:

The backs kinda looks like the Altima coupe mixed with the Civic SI Coupe.the Rims are nice, and the headlights look a lot like the new Accord Sedan.

Those are some serious teaser shots. Thats like a girl pulling up her shirt to the right spot and then just yanking it back down again.

I find it interesting that they have 4DSC on the rear window again. Does that mean they are not gonna hobble it with a detuned 255hp-limited motor and CVT-only like the current model?

Time will tell...

4DSC is what they had on the rear window beginning with the first maxima in 1989.. and was part of their marketing..

It stands for 4 Door Sports Car..

4DSC (4 Door Sports Car) was the window logo on the Gen-3 Maxima. The current generation maxima was down rated to 255hp and CVT-only transmission whereas the previous model was 265hp and had 5sp-auto and 6sp manual options. Most of the Maxima community is irritated that the Maxima, which was THE 4DSC for Nissan USA, is now a bloated boat and has been replace by the Altima sedan as "4DSC"

Does anyone see a little bit of the S65 benz in the rear tails?

Not for me as my next car will have a G in it

From a current owner perspective it would be nice for it to be the 4DSC again. I just don't know where that puts the Altima....

It looks like they have added stuff to the nose to help hide it more. I highly doubt the end result will be as much "charger-like".

Gotta wait and see.

Looks nice!

I've always been a fan of the Maxima line, and it's good to see that Nissan isn't abandoning these models in light of the new Altimas and the Skyline.

Wonder how it will measure up to the German 4 door sports cars

I love the Maxima but dropped it after they released the 2004. Base on the teasers, I don't think I like it.

Looking at what they are showing, I have a feeling that we are going to be disappointed.

Had a 2004 version, in general, a piece of crap. Hope then don't have someone in Europe design it again.

But, based on the full body shots it looks like a warmed over version, hope they offset that with a 350hp set of internals.

Two cents,--Wind

Lmao...now that you've brought it up, the 04 maxima was ugly. I don't know what their preview shots looked like but my god it was hideous. The maxima only started looking half decent with the 07 redesign....except it it could hardly be called a sports sedan.

I don't know it looks too big to be a 4DSC now, especially since the Altima is Nissan's 4DSC.

I think its gonna get something like 280hp and probably be as big as an Avalon. But those rims are str8 sex tho.

They need to work on exterior.. but the interior definitely has the "maxima" feeling.
