Go to Auto Week. com and check out the new rocket ship from Nissan due out next June as a 2009 in the US. They take it for a test drive in Germany and compare it to the Porsche 911 TT but for a lot less money. Mid 80k. AWD turbo 6 but with automatic trans? No mods needed here!! Looks awesome.

Went and checked it out. Looks pretty amazing. I was talking to one of the sales men at my Nissan dealership and he said that the dealerships might not get one unless it is already bought.

The sales manager at the Nissan dealerI got my z from said that they'd probablyget around two of them a year ANDthat there would most likely be about a$20,000 markup. That makes it a $95,000 ride if wjathe said was correct.

Just makes the dream even more a "dream". I want the legend, I want it before I die..........so if I can't make that happen then I will just have to haunt the Nissan dealerships worldwide.

I was at a nissan dealership picking up my Altima Coupe's license plates. The saleman said they have already sold one pre order for 120k.

Wow, too many dealer scams out there. I just spoke with my salesman who I bought my 07 Z from, about trading in on a GT-R. He sold me the Z at invoice but promised me he would order and sell me one for sticker MSRP! May just do it. He is the fleet manager with super high volume sales and is just a solid guy. Im sure to take in the shorts on the trade in. He thinks low 70s for MSRP but no solid info yet.

I had a chance to see it and a few other exotics at the Memphis Auto Show. It was beautiful to save the least!

The reason why it is a automatic is for it's rear mounted transmission...aka...rear-mounted transaxle integrating transmission, differential and AWD transfer case.

So don't ever expect to see a manual on this puppy.

If someone could teach me how to put several pics on here, I have several of the GTR from the Chicago Auto Show. Nissan when talking about the GTR said they gave one to Edmunds.com to drive and they actually reached a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds. They said they also made a hard to car to modify, which I dont quite understand.

I also read in a review that the GTR will be Mod-proof so to speak. all of the sensors will throw up a red flag if any components are changed. warranty issues maybe? they are however letting a few select tuning shops get there hands on some tunable cars which should make for some 1000 hp awd monsters out there.

From what I understand each niisan dealer will only have one for 08 and they are only bringing 1500 to the states the first year. If you have the dough than do it the mark up is called market adjusted value ( supply and demand ). The dealer ship will actualy have to spend approx $75k in new equipment to service one and also train two tecs at least to be GTR specialest.
