2009 Murano LE Bluetooth problem with Motorola Q9m

I haven't been able to find many posts about Murano bluetooth problems so apparently the integrated Nissan system is generally quite stable but perhaps someone will have some suggestions.

I have a Motorola Q9m phone that supports Bluetooth 2.0 and works fine with my Motorola headset, the integrated bluetooth in my other vehicle (not Nissan), and the aftermarket hands-free device (Parrot) in my previous Murano.

I can successfully pair the phone with the vehicle's bluetooth. I can see it, interact with it, and control it using the vehicle's bluetooth. However, I can't get any audio. I get a hiss when I turn the volume all the way up, but zero audio from the phone conversation.

I should also add my Blackberry Pearl works fine with it, as do both my husband's phones. We are hi-tech folks and this is driving me nuts, as it seems so random.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've checked all the advanced settings but perhaps I'm missing something? I've also made sure I have the latest Q9m software revision. Thanks in advance!
