Hi. I'm getting a '09 SL 360 very soon and want to install factory OEM HID xenon headlamp assemblies. I saw the article http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=97477 and it's exactly what I'm looking for as long as it works on the 2nd gen models.

Has anyone actually done this conversion with an '09? It seems like it should work but it would be nice to get some reassurance that it really does work before I purchase the assemblies. Same with the IPDM/diode mod - will it work the same way on an -09?

Thanks,

Don

Personally I would just buy an H11 HID retro fit kit, for about 150 bucks. My previous car was an Acura Integra which also featured projector lenses similar to the Murano and at the time $450 bought me HID's to plug in. I thought it was a worth while investment, it wasn't as good as some HID's i saw on the road but it was ten times better than the stock halogens. The good results are due to the fact we have projectors and not reflectors. So if I do any, i'll be doing a $150 dollar and 30 min project vs 600 or more plus a boat load of time and head aches.
