Hi, I am having a problem with my 2009 Murano S.. I was driving at about 25-30 mph and the engine just shut down.. no warnings no lights just stopped in Drive.. I then tried to start it putting it in park and could not tried about 25 min. I finally got it started by putting my foot on the brake and pushing the start button and then quickly hitting the gas, once getting it started I pulled it over off the road and let it idle. I was able to get it home with out anymore problems.. I then took it too my Nissan dealer and they could not find anything wrong computer did not read any errors.. I only have 25000 miles on the car and is less then 3 years old and always serviced. Anyone else with this trouble.. if so any solutions.. thanks

It's a fuel or spark problem. You could probably check the maf too.

i second the MAF. you can actually (i dont advise this) but stick your hand into an open air box and wrap your fingers around the MAF and the engine will shut off and not leave a CEL at times. its weird. if it happens abruptly, and only once - it might not register a CEL.

Hi all,
New to the forum and recent purchaser of a 2009 Murano S. Put about 2000 miles on it since purchase and have just under 40 k total. I am noticing a weird vibration noise which sounds like its coming from the ignition area on start up. Doesn't always happen and doesnt seem to matter on temperature outside but I notice it more when it rains. It sounds like it runs through one or two cycles of noise for about two to three seconds. Also notice is sometimes when I put the heat/ac on. Doesnt sound like its engine mechanical noise it sounds like its inside the cabin coming from inside the dash. Any thoughts? Figured I would try here before approaching the dealership.

Thanks
