no way!!! it's the same car as the older model with just a different bumper and maybe lights. same engines, same everything. only additional HP it has is 2 hp from it's new exhaust lol they tested the 07 or 08 eclipse against the Altima Coupe and Accord coupe and they said the eclipse was horrible compared to the altima and accord. the thing is, the altima coupe is priced very reasonable, it looks amazing, it has a world famous engine (VQ35DE) and it has the european D platform so the handling is better then all the other FWD out there. i mean i can only feel slight torque steer when i floor the gas all the way on corners, aside from that i don't feel it at all. and i'm sure with a RSB and endlinks and a drop, that little torque steer will be pretty much gone.

Looks wise I think the 09 eclipse is really nice. Very sporty and aggressive look to it. The only thing with it is that it seems to be trying really hard. I'd say the AC is a little more sophisticated and accomplishes what it does without forcing it down peoples throats. I prefer the sleekness and simplicity of the AC over the eclipse, but I certainly wouldn't turn down an eclipse if I was offered one

I actually made a thread about the 09 eclipse wheels, i really like em. As for the whole car, its borderline overkill but its pretty cool.

I owned a new eclipse and it was quick. But I dont believe it could handle the a/c. Not forsure because I have cvt and I had a 6 speed eclipse.

Only if they brought the 4g63 engine back with AWD then that eclipse would be sick. Turbo and AWD I would hop on it.

The best eclipse to me is the 1g and 2g eclipse and talon. Only the turbo fwd and awd model though. I so miss my Eclipse GS-T...

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe will probably give the a/c the biggest run for it's money IMO.

It looks just like an '08 Eclipse with a haircut and a shave. I saw the interior pics and it still looks as cheap as it did in the '08; they didn't update it at all.
