I know there are a few people at least interested in the MegaSquirt and along with myself there are a few that have MegaSquirt - with that said I would like to let everyone know that the guys from DIY Autotune have a MegaSquirt meet every year in GA. This year it is April 17th - Friday night and the main event is Saturday the 18th. Here is a link with all the info: http://www.diyautotune.com/eve...9.htm , and this is a link to a MegaSquirt forum with a discussion on the meet: http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=34304

I would love to see some of you guys/girls who might be interested in doing MegaSquirt or currently have it show up. I for one am doing everything i can to have my truck ready to drive down

did anyone ever come up with a reasonable fix for the cas without having to go in and fill all the holes? Ive debated ms for some time but wanted more of a plug and play style where i didnt have to modify the factory electronics.

Yes we definitely need some representation there - man I just checked mapquest and I have a 940 mile drive ahead of me...

rb25drag - I would check all your solder joints - i had a problem with my map sensor not reading and even though all the joints looked good 1 of them was not - anyway good luck

pepegurr - I havnt come up with anything for the CAS yet other than either making a cover to bolt over it or weld a filler in the timing cover - but if you are looking for plug an play I guess MS isint going to be a good choice - but I think it is going to be worth it once its all done

The solder connections are all good. We have double checked them all. I have tested The ECU's Pins ( We are building 2 computers at once) and they both read excactly the same output and voltage.

So I guess were going to try and find another female db9 plug I can solder into the board.

when you built the MS did you pass all of the tests that the directions had you do after each set of steps? If you did you might have an issue with the cable you are using to hook to your computer - I had lots of issues getting the cable that went from the DB9 to USB to work on my computer.

All of the tests were good so far. We are only up to the time clock test config. I did have some trouble out of the communication test. But again that cable or connection is giving me a fit. Im not using the usb cable yet. I have the db9 cable hooked directly into my home pc.Im going to try a new cable and see wat happens. But I really think its the female plug with the problem.

if you guys dont mind i would like to pick your brains about the setups that you are using. i had one of the ms2 setups on my svo before and i used a trigger wheel but i didnt know if this would work on the rb. any help you guys could share would be great, even just as much as maybe a link with some rb/ms info.

well Kevwa has a different setup than me. He is using the ms2 with a wasted spark setup on the Gn coils. He also is using it for fuel maps etc.Im personally using the Ms1 setup With a wasted spark and a Ls2 coil setup With a trigger wheel On the crank. Mine is still in the building stages also. But Im also only using the Ms for Timing Only Since I no longer run on gas. Im also going to try and use the Launch control setting and the flat shift settings once I get everything dialed in.

I did drive the car with propane a few time. Kinda got the feel of what it was going to be like. Seemed stronger than ever before. But then I tore it back down to do the megasquirt setup and the ls2 coil conversion. Im also putting on my Bigger turbo. So we should see some good numbers here soon. Some good track video's to come also.

I hope to be there. But im only going if I can take my car to represent. And its way early for me to be booking anything.I think We will have mine back running on the megasquirt in 2 weeks If everything else goes smoooth.Btw The problem I was having with the db9 connection turned out to be a bad db9 cable Diyauto tune sent me. My radioshack cable seems to work fine on both computers were building.
