My '09 Maxima has an anoying vibration, definitley drivetrain related, when cruising at a steady speed, or under slight load when the cvt is in highest gear and the tach is between 1200 an 1500 rpm. This is under light throttle application, coast it goes away, accerlate and it goes away. Is never present above 1600 rpm. Anyone else have this issue????

I don't have any personal experience with CVT-equipped Maximas, but you may want to try searching in the Altima and Murano forums for similar topics. They share the Maxima's engine and CVT, so the issue may be common to all 3 vehicles.

CVT - NO GEARS!

Is this like a car rumbling vibration, or is this just like a hum for the most part? I do get a hum from the engine (I have the same VQ in my altima that you do in the Maxima) at the low range of the tach, mostly due to the torque the engine is putting out. Generally the CVT is pretty quiet. However, if you feel that its more of a harmonic vibration, I would have your dealer look at it. But my best guess is that the vibration is more of a hum like in my altima and that is just the engine throwing down torque.
