I have a 2009 Maxima SV with premium and tech package. When I depress the brake pedal, I get an annoying click. The dealer tells me this is normal. I find it hard to believe that a car of this quality would have such a flaw. Has anyone else experienced this.

can you describe the click, im trying to think through all the things that move with the brake pedal, there is the brake light switch, the hinge to connect the pedal to the brake master cylinder and booster through the firewall, etc... if you could look down there while someone pushes the pedal and try to pinpoint the location of the sound that would be of great help.

Thanks for the suggestion, it's one I've used in the past. However that was with a 15 year old car that had 150k miles on it. After spending this kind of money on a new car I guess my expectations are a bit high.

I have 09 maxima S. I have same problem while depressing the breaks. I hear this more from front tyre breaks. I spoke to dealer and they said its a surface rust because of weather. I asked them to clear the rust and still has a same issue. I am really annoyed. Have you figured out the cause yet???
