Hey guys I have a question about my 2009 Infiniti M45. It has 60k miles and I always service it regularly but today the service engine light came on. I had the codes pulled and would like some input from the group to see if anyone has ever ran into this issue before. It pulled up 2 codes a P0171 and P0174. After looking them up this is what it said about them "If the P0171 is combined with the P0174 code, it's very likely that the problem is caused by an intake leak. If there are no intake leaks, the next step is to replaced the air filter and clean the air flow meter. If the problem persist the front oxygen (O2) sensor may need to be replaced." Im leaning towards replacing the air filter and O2 sensor then see if that fixes the problem first has anyone ever ran across this same issue? Thanks!

Might check the MAS hose for cracks, dry rot, and a proper seal. How's that big hose clamp? Snug or so tight the rubber hose is coming through the tightening threads on the hose clamp? And while you are at it check the entire intake system for proper fit and seal. On the air sensor check the hard plastic tube where the sensor is and check the screw mounts on the sensor itself. Both are hard plastic, both prone to cracking and breaking apart - and no you can't just purchase the large hard plastic air sensor hose piece. Or at least I could not on the wife's FX, had to buy the air sensor with the hose, ca-ching. I have yet to have any issues on my 06 M45, but I do have an Injen CAI.

I have a 2007 and I am running into similar issues
I had my cats replaced in may 2014 and now they are throwing codes.
The dealer cant figure out why. they claim everything is reading correct levels.
even o2 sensors were replaced in may..
Does anyone have any ideas?
I normally run 76 premium (91 Octane) in California
one time ran chevron and the codes came up.
