Not exactly the answer you may want but I have an 08. In my case I liked the paddle shifters, the seats, the front facia, and the wheels. With the 09 I think you get a better set of brakes as well.ecuguru wrote:Hey gang,
I'm looking at picking up a new g37x awd sedan. I'm still playing with whether or not to get the sport package. It's a bit of extra cash, and I'm not sure I can get the interior I want (wheat). On the other hand, if it's going to make the driving that much more fun, awesome.
If anyone's got one, and they can post their experience about why they got the sport package, and if it's made a real difference, it would really help me out.
thanks!
Agreed! I think you need to take an extended ride in both and determine which seat you a$$ is more happy in. If you like both equally well, then look at the other upgrades and costs. But, I'm betting you will like one seat better than the other.pfarmer wrote:
The seats may well be the deciding factor since if you don't like the sport seats they are very expensive to swap out without swapping with another owner.

Just bought a 09. I also preferred the sport package due to the paddle shifters, seats, front fascia and rims. I was tossing around the idea of sport or no sport due to the extra cost. Once I drove the car with the sport package, I was sold. Like SVT said, drive both and go with what makes your butt happy. I don't think the upgraded sport brakes come with the AWD models, just RWD... but I could be wrong.pfarmer wrote:

I wonder if the brake option has been removed. When I first looked at the 09 sedan x this was one item I thought I saw that I really wanted. Will have to look at the brake size as that may be the difference between the 09 and 08s.09Gal wrote:

Go for the 6 speed manual. At least test drive it before you make your final decisionecuguru wrote:Hey gang,

I like the automagic, even through mine is only a 5, the most important item for me was the X, the second for me was the S, and the third was the T.SVTCOBRA wrote:

I do like it, but like you state it is expensive. To me the headlights are the biggest item, and then the cruise control. The cruise control however is one that I think needs a little work by Infiniti. It tends to hunt too much, that is it wants to stay x number of feet behind the car in front and it will slow down, speed up, slow down, speed up, too much to do so. Seems like this may actually be able to be tuned but that is my take on it. I like it best when you have a wide open road.ecuguru wrote:Hey Perry,
You like your technology package? Cruise control with preview breakingPrecrash seatbeltand the adaptive headlights?
My friend has a saab with the headlight preview breaking, and I think it's awesome. But it's another 1-2k.. wow.. And the only feature of the three I was really into..
thanks!
Done. Bought the non-sport. Really, really, wanted that side seat mod but it just wasn't comfortable enough for me. My legs are big enough that I was kinda sitting over them on the sides, even at their widest setting. My old man had a thunderbird that had those type of seats, and they went far enough back that you never felt em.. Not so much here..SVTCOBRA wrote:Agreed! I just made the decision you are faced with two weeks ago. The added sticker cost was $1,100. If the brakes were included then this would have been a great deal. I did not believe I would use the paddle shifters and as it turns out, I prefer the DS mode. Also, due the road conditions here in the NE, I did not what to take the chance of damaging my rims with low profile tires [ we had a bad winter in MA and there are too many pot holes to contend with.]ecuguru wrote:Hey gang,

The seats were great, but the standard ones are pretty good also.
