Eric, they will make it a CPO car for an extra $1200.00. They were just trying to keep the cost down. Just talked to the previous owners and they loved the car but job loss forced sell. Always garaged and they had the first oil change at 3500 miles and the dealer has since chaged the oil and put Nitrogen in the tires. 80% highway miles. I asked the owner about the trans on down shifts and they only noticed it under extreme braking.
I am going buy subject to drive and inspection.
Can hardly wait for a car that handles.
infiniti_lineup wrote:Good deal. You're all set on the price. Try to knock them down a bit so you can get out the door $29-30k.
Just do you due-diligence:
1) Request all service records from Infiniti Service
2) Request to take the a private test drive (without salesperson) and go on a route that you drive on daily (i.e. to work, home, etc.) and see if the car actually lives up to your standards.
3) Don't purchase by their timeline - they will hold it until Tuesday at noon, that doesn't mean that it will be sold Tuesday at noon. The last thing you want is to be rushed into a purchase by someone you won't ever see again.
4) Ask them why they didn't make this car a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) sale. This usually hints at one of two things: Either the dealership didn't want to spend the extra money on their own dime to certify the car OR there are severe issues with the car that would prevent it from being qualified as CPO.
