2009 G37S & iPhone 6

I have a G37S 2009 and want to use my iPhone 6. I read up on a lot of threads and frankly it's quite confusing as some say just buying the 30 pin to 8 pin adaptor works fine. Others report that it needs to be the adapter without the cable, others say that you also need additional cables and yet others say that it's different on 2008 and earlier models vs 2009 models. So what is the solution for a G37S 2009 (which has GPS) that allows

* integration with iPhone 6
* control from steering wheel
* suspend music when a phone call comes in
* charging of phone (ideal but not absolutely necessary)

Did you update to IOS 8.3?

I am currently on 8.2. Are there different solutions for different OS versions? What are those solutions?
