Hey guys/gals...

I have had my '09 G37xs for nearly 4 years now, and she has been great...but occasionally here in the last month or so it'll act a little kooky. If I am stopped at a light and accelerate pretty hard (not WFO, but pretty strong start) the parking brake light will come on and then it'll go off after I have backed off the throttle.
If I go from stopped to "Oh my God, the baby is coming now!" then the "VDC" and "slip" lights will blink, and stay blinking until you find a place to stop the car and cycle the motor (turn the car off - wait a few seconds - turn it back on).
It seems to have no other issues, no weird happenings otherwise...just this.

I'm thinking since it's at that age when the stock battery likes to crap out, that the battery is telling me that it can't keep up anymore and it's time to replace it. But I would certainly love to hear any other ideas at this time.

Replace the brake pads or check the brake fluid level.

Fluid level is good. Quick visual of the pads, they look fine too. The rears might be a bit worn, but not worn out. Still decent pad surface left.

When it warms up some, I will pull the wheels and give a better look though...thanks.

Like everyone else is saying. This is good indciation of something with the brake fluid. I'd double check everything. Also how much tread/ how old are the tires on there.

Brake fluid is right where it needs to be, and still a pretty honey color. Tires have less than 6K miles on them. Once it gets warm enough to sit in my garage, I'm gonna check the rears. Visually, they look ok but they might need replacement too. I won't really know until I can pull em.

Thanks guys!

Pulled the wheels off of her this week, and the front pads look good. Rears are ready to be replaced. I am ordering some new pads this weekend, and once the weather turns good again (blowing snow and cold...I love Colorado!), then I get to put 'em in!

Took care of the pads this past week, and no issues since.

Easiest brake job EVER! From the moment I put the jack under the car to when it came back out, I was done in under an hour...and I am certainly no pro. :gapteeth:

I just thought I'd be nice and update. Thanks for your guidance folks!

Yeah, swapping pads is pretty easy if you have the Akebono's. Not that difficult with the other style assuming you have the proper sized socket (which I didn't have when I was doing the sedan's pre-akebono sport brakes).
