I love my 2009 g37 sport sedan. The manufacturers warranty is about to expire, should I look at purchasing an extended warranty?

Owners of older Gs (2006-8) is the car still reliable and holding up to usual driving conditions?

I don't drive crazy, other than flooring it to get onto the freeway, one of the many perks. But my neighborhood is full of speed bumps.

I am hoping Nissan has built a quality product and I don't get hit with major repairs in the next couple of years. Because I am not a fan of spending money "just in case" something breaks.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have an '09 as well. It is almost to 70K, without a single issue. I tend to hear from my wife that I drive her too hard...so I guess I give it the heavy foot.

You are asking folks with the "older" engine, compared to the updated larger 3.7L (except the '08 coupe), so bias could be a little different. The '09 also came with the 7 spd AT (if yours is a manual, then I guess not!). I would still guess no on needing an extended warranty....Nissan/Infiniti is quality, and there are plenty of great examples on the road that have TONS of miles on them.

My 2002 Maxima was flawless when I got rid of it at 158k miles. My '08 G37s has no issues at 68k, my '07 G35s has no issues at almost 90k. I would only worry if you are noticing oil consumption. Otherwise an extended warranty is usually "peace of mind" but not really needed.
