Hey Guys/Girls,

I'm new here with a vehicle question.

Got an automatic g37 coupe with an intermittent transmission issue.

I notice that under low-medium acceleration in first and second gear, the car makes a pretty gross noise (gears mashing) around 2k rpms, usually when it shifts up to the next gear at 2400-2500rpms. During that noise, there's a pretty significant power loss as well, as if half the pistons just give up.

I'm about to go to the dealership, but thought you guys might know of the issue, or point me in the right direction? It's a recent development, and it's pretty annoying because I no longer trust the vehicle as much as I used to.

How many miles does your car have on it? It could still be covered under the 6 year / 70k mile powertrain warranty.

It's got 41k miles on it right now, and has the extended CPO warranty when I purchased the vehicle about a year ago with 23k miles, so I believe it's still under warranty.

Sounds like someone will be getting a new transmission.

Let us know the outcome. Welcome to NICO.
