I have a 2009 G37 sedan and took it to get it washed on Saturday. When I got home and locked the car with my keyless control, I noticed the sound the horn made when it beeped was quieter and higher pitched than it has always been. When I actually push the horn on the steering wheel I get the same quieter higher pitch sound.

At first I thought the car wash might've somehow gotten water in the horn, but it would've dried out by now and the sound is still the same. Has anyone had this issue? I don't know if there is anything physically wrong, or if it could possibly be some type of sensor or relay, but I'd appreciate it if anyone else has experienced this and has any information.

Thanks.

Welcome to NICO! I haven't noticed...try to lay on the horn for 5-10 seconds. If it still sounds off, take it to the dealership. A good horn can prevent an accident!

Thanks joe. I laid on the horn for awhile and it still makes the same sound. I called the dealership a couple days ago and asked someone in the service department about it, but they had never heard of that particular issue.

I guess I will take it to the dealership sometime and let them see/hear it in person.
