New owner of a 2009 FX35 with Navigation.

I am disappointed that a major expressway the runs north/south through Chicago does not appear on the Nav software. This is a highway that was opened over a year ago. Without this data up to date, the nav system is worthless if driving in the SW section of Chicagoland.

The 2009 just came out. I would think the nav software would be 2009 worthy. I realize this is just a timing thing but I will not be happy if an update comes out in the next 6 to 12 months and Infiniti wants $200-$300 for software that is up to date with 2009.

What has been the history with Infiniti regarding upgrade costs to the Nav software data?

It's the few companies that develop the mapping software that you should be pissed off at, and not Infiniti. It's realivitly common for dvd based GPS systems to have some current highways/roads omitted from the mapping software.

This might be a generally old post, but I live in Naperville and you would obviously be talking about the new 355 highway to I80. I am actually glad to hear this as I just bought a used FX 35 and it came with the 2004 Nav...I need to find the latest (at least latest and greatest upgrade possible); but when the sales rep tried to hoist one out of another Infinity version 6.6 I believe, it didn't work.

Thoughts?
