2009 FX-35 Blend Air Actuator Problem

Hello all,

An annoying clicking recently started in the dash of my car. I took it to a Nissan dealership and paid 130 to have it diagnosed. They told me it was the blend door actuator motor. Part Number 27732-AM610. The part itself is only 100 bucks, but they wanted to charge me 1400 for 10 hours of labor.

They stated that they HAD to take the dash off. Does anyone know if this is correct? I gained access to installation instructions from a Mitchell website, and there it stated that the replacement only takes a couple hours, and the dash doesn't need to come off.

Has anyone out there had this problem? Does anyone know for certain that the dash must come off?

You are correct.The dash does not need to be removed.
