I am upgrading my 09' Frontier basic/stock stereo and would like to know if it possible to install in its place the premium sound system offered that year(Rockford fosgate/Panasonic system) without major re-wiring and headaches.. I respect the premium systems and thus far looks applicable BUT?
I do have ALLDATA access and wiring diagrams but if someone knows this, please help. I know I would have work around the 10 speaker issue associated with premium sys.
thanks

You might check out the factory service manual at www.nissanservicemanual.com to see if there's any difference you can see there. Also, https://parts.nissanusa.com/ is a great resource, because you can compare components down to the wiring level to see where they're different. My guess is that unless you either just really love the look of the factory head unit, or have access to the premium system dirt cheap - It would be much easier to go with a good quality aftermarket setup. I suspect it's not as plug-n-play as you'd hope.
