2009 EX35 good and bad features of this Crossover ???

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey Simon,

first of all there is no big difference between the models of 2009 and 2010. Its basically the same car. What has changed is how the options are sold. The 2009 had the tech option which included the round view monitor in the 2010 tech package only includes lane departure warning etc. so you dont need to buy tech for having rvm.Beside all that you might have heared that Infiniti Europe has launched the EX37 with 3.7L and a 7 gear automatic. This is also planed for the us. Maybe its worth waiting for that one.

No! not a dealer!

would be a bad idea trying to sell over seas, I attend from Germany.I am just interested in the EX. bought mine in August, a 2008.

Back to your questions. I dont know of a problem which doesnt mean there is no one! There was an issue with the AWD's making some noise while turning to the left (?). Maybe some one else knows anything.

The only thing I've heard from several EX35 drivers is that they hear a steady high piched noise when accelerating !

What year is your EX35 and how long have you had it ? Do you like the interior and exterior designs and I know the roof lines are based on the G37 ?

I have a 2008 AWD and have had it for six months. I can say that I personally love the car. I researched crossovers for almost a year before I decided on one. Others I consider were the Cadillac SRX, Lexus, and the toyota Venza. I happen to like luxury cars so the toyota was out, the cadilac was junk, and every other car on the road is a lexus. Things I love about my car: nice leather seats, not vinyl. the layout of the interior and the controls on the steering wheel - it is like a cockpit. The colors of the dash lights. I don't need a ton of cargo space so it suits me just perfect - easy to put things in and get them out. My interior is chestnut - it's very unique and no one else has it. I think the car handles like a race car, very responsive and the brakes will stop you on a dime. The handling makes me feel very confident that I could get out of any situation. The car is quiet inside ( I hate wind and road noise). The radio is average - I would not put a Bose in a luxury car. The car is just plain cool looking.

I had my 09 EX in the blizzard that just hit Denver. I had well over a foot of snow on my street. I got through with no issue. All other streets were icy and snow packed. There were no problems with stopping starting or sliding. I do have the Journey with AWD. I am still running the stock tires too. I was very impressed.

So far I have only driven on wet roads. In very heavy rain yesterday, that would have slowed me down in any other vehicle, the traction with my EX was superb. I felt glued to the road at 70mph. I have stock all season tires.

in New York they add 10 % ethanol into the gas but I've felt a slight performance difference using regular vs Premium in the EX.

what is the adverse effect in the long run? It is still too early to tell in these engines.

we've had the EX35 loaner on the road at the dealership here and still drives great after 1 1/2 on the road. I love it for the weekend because it's smooth. I took it out in the rain and handles just like the G sedan but a more plush drive.
