2009 Detroit Area Polar Bear Drive.

My 240 vert is long gone, but for you Detroit area convertible drivers: a small group of Honda S2000 owners is planning a "Polar Bear" meet-and-drive on February, February 22, 11:30 AM; the drive will be from Ann Arbor to Hell and back. Top-down only!

It may be fun to surprise people with a bunch of top-down convertibles on a wintry day. If anyone is interested to join up, let me know.

If you've never put your top down in freezing weather, realize that there is a chance the plastic rear window will crack. So be careful.

I know I said this last year, but maybe next year...

Vert was having some issues with the rear end. Definitely don't want to be driving her around on wintery roads with a squirly rear. My HVAC hasn't worked since we had it all apart either.

Hopefully it won't be -20* for you guys.

It's not worth its own new topic, but if anybody shows up at the Henry Ford at 10 a.m. on Saturday (February 6) and wants to drive up and down Hines Dr (top down), we can call it the 2010 Detroit Area Polar Bear Drive.
