I recently purchased a 09 Altima Coup 2.5S and looking forward to giving any help I can and receiving the same. I have been a fan of imports for a long time. My 09 has a 140k on the clock it was a one owner but they had never had the trans fluid changed.The fluid is BLACK. Currently I am taking a quart out at a time and replacing it with new quart of Nissan trans fluid NS-2 , I skip a week or two then do the same again. I also added a 2nd trans cooler, I know this is wasting money but am afraid of a drain and fill causing the trans to go into slippage mode. I have had the experience of my past Fords of doing a drain or flush and them slipping not to many miles later. My Altima trans shifts and is running good at this point Anyone have a comment on my procedure would be appreciated.

You are doing the right thing.
Though I am not sure the slippage from new fluid threat applies to CVT.
But it cant hurt to be careful.
