This morning I got that "MY CAR WONT START" call from the Wife as soon as I got to work myself :tisk: So I head home assuming her keyfob was dead. I exchanged keyfobs with hers and still the car wont start.
Keyfob battery= Good
Car Battery= Good
Keyless enrty= Good
Alarm arming via keyfob= Good

Break pedal wont push all they way down and a yellow "no key" light pops up when pressing the start button. Any ideas that can help me out Bro's?? :wtf2:

Have you tried putting the key in the keyfob holder by the bottom of the steering wheel? Usually this will help turn on the car when the key battery is dead

That was the first thing I tried, since I've had a dead keyfob before.

This is most likely a faulty brake switch considering all the other elements you have tried.

***UPDATE***

According to Jason, service tech at Nissan "The part that has failed is the Steering Lock: Parts and Labor $687.56" This is total BS as I've found that the Altima, 350/370Zs, Maxima, and Murano all suffer the same fate at times. On the NHTSA website there are plenty of complaints for this same repair. I have a friend who is an attorney. Can you say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!!! If anyone else has had this problem send me a private message. I will post another update shortly!

It isn't covered by the warranty? (Assuming the car is still under it)
