So I have a 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE MT. 62K miles.

About a month ago the car would stall once in a while at stop lights/ signs. Seems to happen more frequently when stopping quickly. It is weird, there is no rhyme or reason to when it happens. (cold or hot) The car starts up again no problem but is a bit disconcerting. Has this been happening to anybody else? Any thoughts on what may be the cause?? Guessing an issue withe fuel delivery?

Thanks for any help!!

2008 Altima coupe but 2.5 CVT here
I have had the exact same problem last couple months. Idling at a stop light or coming to an abrupt stop often stalls the engine. I asked around and so far, I have cleaned out my air intake filter and tried a fuel injector cleaning fuel additive. So far, I haven't seen a huge difference in performance but the last few days since the fuel additives, the car hasn't stalled on me yet, but still way too early to tell. Next steps are to change out my old battery that almost failed the crank test at the dealer and a new set of spark plugs.
Let's keep this updated, if none of these fix the issue, my mechanic said it may be the throttle body which is very expensive to fix. If anyone else has this issue, please help

Someone was talking about this on the facebook group. I think you should check for spark plugs as well. Let us know what's the outcome.

Both the QR and VQ engines are chain timed. That's not very nice of you to having him inspect something that doesn't exist on his car! :slap:

*update*
It's been one week since I added the fuel additive and so far, I think it is helping slightly. I haven't had the engine stall yet but this morning, I saw the rpm dropped below 500 on a cold start and shake the car just like it used to when the engine was about to stall but this time it managed to keep itself running and eventually warm up. Still too early to jump to any conclusions, spark plugs and battery still to be replaced soon.
