I wanted to know if there are any other 3.5 CVT owners out there having similar problems.
1st - When I take off from a full stop (like a red light) i feel something move in my engine compartment. I know its not the ABS brake check because thats a differnt sound and feeling.
2nd - Half the time when I take off from a stop nice and slowly, i feel the transmission slip and catch on quick so it causes an annoying jerk
3rd - Lately im noticing a big loss in low end tourqe and power. Could this be from the y-pipe? Is it okay to have the y-pipe installed for a long period of time witout negative effects? I have started to smell very unpleasent smells from my exhaust when standing near it.

Most basic mods won't add enough power to cause issues and the smell is just a change in the exhaust due to the cat delete. So that will be there. As for the rest, it sounds like it might be the CVT, is it lurching on you or making any unusual noises?

Yea I think it may be the CVT. Sometimes when i make a quick right turn and press the gas moderatly, i feel the car to start jerking and not catching the gear smoothly. I dont want to waste my time taking it to the dealer because I know it wont do it when they test it out. I really want to get rid of the CVT =/ There arent any unusual noises tho.

Hmm, how fast are you accelerating when turning? I had the same issue for awhile but it was just my tires slipping and my TCS gimping my throttle.

im definatly taking the turns at a speed where the wheels wouldnt peel out; not fast at all. Has anyone ever had their cvt go bad without turbos and such?
