Yes, it's that time of year again and I figured I would start up the fun by hearing everyone's 2009 New Year's Resolutions for their 240sx/Project car.

How it works, let everyone know what you plan on doing over the course of 12 months with your car:

What Mods do you plan on buying / installing?

What type of Build do you plan?

What time do you want to run? track related?

Track times, events, magazine spots, 12 months on jack stands?

And any other car related goals for this year.

Then we can all look back a year from now and see what we've accomplished.

What Mods do you plan on buying / installing? Turbo upgrade( gt28r or gt30r), biggier injectors, new plenum, new intercooler, coilovers, paint, and little other things

What type of Build do you plan? I have an rb in my s13 and its my daily driver so i dont want to beat the **** out of it. Just something thats reliable, and will have the power when i need it.

What time do you want to run? track related? Ehh i probably wont track the car at all. i might dyno it or do a few runs on the drag strip thats pretty much it

get my paper work legal lol, complete installing z32 brakes (rears), five lug conversion, 350z track front rotors, select and install Sr with piping, etc, front lip, fender caps, z pillars, 180 tails...lets see what gets done right?!

My winter project will consist of painting my front Stoptechs and rear Z32's.

For the spring I will be picking up some MT 265 drag radials.

The last thing I really want for my car is a set of Bride Gias. I have been trying to get them for the last two or three seasons, but something always comes up financially. So here is to hoping that they happen this year.

If I have time to make it to the track(1/4 mile), which I never do, I hope to run a 11.20 with a trap around 126 - 127.

I would love to make it to a road coarse, but I just don't have much spare time.

I have a feature in Import Tuner coming up this spring. My good friend that takes most of my shots will be the photographer for the shoot..... so that's cool for him. It will be his first feature shoot for a magazine. He is Kyles1988 here on the board.

How I'm planing on doing this, is buying two aftermarket parts at a time with my frist paycheck, and then with the second paycheck is going buying one parts at a time.

My mom already tolled me that she would help me on get the kts coilover. I already have like 600$ in da bank, and I'm guessing she is going to give me the other haft for the coilovers.

Suspension frist, then drivetrane second.That my pland. And I'm sticking to it.

i will have a hatch project, im looking at 2 right now, so one should be definate.swap to kade for driving purposes (both cars are sohc, defective)full rust repair removal of everything underneath and undercoating with rhino gaurd or similar heavy duty productinterior removal, rust searching, coating for future rustredo interior with perfect peices and build system (been buying components over the last year with money here and there, just got my subs for xmas)full suspension, prob oem struts and lowering springs (ny roads)oem brake and rotor replacement (5 lug pointless to me)all bushingsaero and possibly paint.

Car has been on stands for over a year till I recently paid a shop to SR swap it. It should be done by tuesday. I can't wait to drive it!

2.put my system in it.

3.new brakes/racing suspension

4.alignment/new tires

5.rebuild transmission with racing clutch

6.bondo the dents and paint it black or gray.

7.rebuild ka24 or swap a better engine.

8.redo exhaust and cold air intake (or turbo)

Mods for 09 include- Coilovers- Bucket Seat- 4 pt Harness- Shorty short ram intake mod- 2.5 inch exhaust- Find headers for my N/A SR- Replace transmission( if its bad... i think it is)- Subframe collers- RAS (prob FRsport brand or Enjuku brand)- Tierod/tierod ends(tein)- RUCAS- Alum large capacity radiator- and hopefully paint

Plans for 09- Enter MORE drift events - im looking at one every month

- Better prepare my car to survive the beating of drift events of 09

and that's pretty much it.my mods are aimed towards driftand my plans are aimed towards drift so yeah

Make the car look "cool".

Stop Sucking at the Drifty.

Run a 12.5-12.7 in the 1/4 mile.

My Mods for 09 include this though...

I have $2200 saved up right now, as soon as I hit 3gs or get close I am doing this:

Stance GR + Pro coilovers mated with...

SPL:Tension RodsInner (Tien)/Outer (SPL) Tie Rod EndsRear Traction Rods,Rear Toe Rods,Rear Upper Control Arms

Brakes:300zx 30mm front calipers (already have)300zx 30mm new front rotorsPowdercoat/clean rear calipersNew rear s13 break padsNew rear s13 rotors.

I'll probably throw new front and rear swaybars on as well. Unfortunately I don't have enough $$$ to throw down on some new front and rear lower control arms or I'd have all new suspension all around.

I haven't decided if I really want to change out the subframe bushings yet. Mine should be okay, and people have recommended against solid/aluminum subframe bushings if I DD my car, which I will. Would it at least be worth it to put new rubber / polyurethane bushings on the subframe? Could anyone recommend a good brand for them?

I also plan on maybe buying R33 GTR wheels and then my suspension/stance build should be done with the exception of lower control arms (and maybe subframe bushings?) If I can find them, I also plan on getting OEM coupe rear valences and some 180sx side skirts. I am tired of people asking me why my '300zx' looks weird...



For 08...my list got done for the most part. I wanted to swap on my silvia front end as well as put an Rb25 in my S13. Both of which were done. Hopefully 09 will go smoothly.

Now that I'm done with the engine swap...-First thing is to finish up the front Z32 brakes that have been sitting on my floor for a year. -New set of tires and a full alignment.-Get a stereo system put in.-Interior redone.-Paint and body this summer.

I plan on buying coilovers, RUCAS Z32 brakes, MAF, Bucket seat, 4 point harness, speakers, radio, gps, rims, tires, COI

Then take it to a machine shop, and turbo it with a T25 on 7psi of boost

I'm gonna drift it

Fix MGB, then sell it.

- Take care of all the sound deadening junk and put something else in place of it.-s14 Seats-Steering wheel-shift knob-shift boot-180sx type X Side skirts/\/\- That stuff so i can finish what was supposed to be done in 08.

Save Save Save for an SR20... Hopefully by September i will have it at least sitting in my garage.

Buy an engine stand and a few other tools so i can take it apart and put it back together. Something along the lines of what Positron did before installing it in the car.

in doing all that, put my interior back together with the custom work done by broadfield and MAYBE get my hands on a full Digital climate control s13 setup.

Main thing is to get that damn engine.

What type of Build do you plan? dd & autox. My stock KA's too good to ditch

And any other car related goals for this year: Keep it simple and reliable. Fix all the little things like my busted brake line & clutch line, oil pan leak, battery tray rust. Use my car for all it can as a street car.

I have a fmic, oil cooler, catch can, brakes and some other stuff I've collected that I've planned to put on but for a reason or two haven't (either I'm lazy or I've decided I dont want to put it on because I dont think it will make a difference)..

I also have a list of things I NEED to do... like get a new clutch MC and I need to rebleed my clutch and brake pedal..
