Folks, looking to uprgade from my 2001 to a 2010 maxima. Wondering opinions/advice on aftermarket performance mods/parts. I can do some or most of them myself, don't want to spend more than $5000, and want to get to mid 300hp. Is this possible for the price?? Suggestions......

any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! looking specifically @ product brands, and combinations of aftermarket mods. I realize cat-back exhaust systems, cold air-intakes, and under-drive pulleys is a good start.....

The catalyst is the most restritive part of the exaust, you should go with a high flow design but be aware, if the goverment catches you with an aftermarket catalyst, altering your smog parts is punishable by death. :) One thing i've learned is dont just concentrate on horse power. What about some big front brakes. I miss my Mach1 brakes, 13 inch rotors are awsome. Maybe a good stereo? Some custom tuning might be cool. Thing is a maxima is already putting out some big hp.

Be careful with the CVT if you plan on putting down big numbers. I dont know how well it will take a beating.
