I'm replacing the blower motor in my '08 Rogue as it's vibrating and making noise for a year now.

1: Holy crap what a pain to get at.

2: When I finally got to the blower motor, I discovered that the OEM blower motor does not have a screw in it. I assume it's vibrating because it's not locked in place properly.

The screw is nowhere that I can find, so I need to replace it. I understand it's an 8mm socket / phillips head, but what are the other dimensions of the screw?

That's gonna be damn near impossible to find out unless someone else has run into the same issue.

A couple options: You can use a threadchecker tool to determine the thread pitch inside the hole...

Typical small Nissan fastener sizes are 5mm x .08, and 6mm x 1.0.

The former would be more likely to have a 8mm socket head with phillips slots.

Yeah I figured this would be a crazy longshot that someone would know. I'm just gonna try a few, start small and work my way up until I find something that will hold on.

Good call.

Good luck - I thought about asking for a pic, since I'm usually pretty good at guessing (I have a massive cabinet of Nissan fasteners of all types from past builds and restorations)... but I'm thinking that'd be a hard one to guess at.

Is it the screw that attaches the blower wheel to the shaft?

I'll assume there is more than one screw holding the blower motor? Take an adjacent out and try it in the empty slot. Take said screw to the hardware store and compare. My guess would be m5x0.6mm, most m6x1.0mm will have a 10mm hex head.
