2008 steering wheel controls

Hey everyone, I recently got my 08 Altima it has the Navi/bose package and i had an issue, whenever i try to adjust the volume using the steering wheel controls the voice command is activated instead, has anyone had this issue?

That's a new one for me - I just searched through all of our prior posts, and found nothing of the sort.

In the unlikely event that the volume controls are somehow being used as a "secondary" function related to the voice command system (like it's in a mode that requires the use of the vol up/down keys), try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. Make sure you have your radio code to re-enter it once you reconnect power.

Beyond that, sounds like a dealer service question. :(

Well I dont have the radio code unless its located somewhere in the radio or car itself or do you get it from he dealer like i used to for my old 3-series?
