Anyone in the north noticing slow changes in radio/trip computer readouts in cold temps? In my car, the colder it is the slower it is. When the temp gets down below 20, the readout seems to blank out for a moment before displaying any update. (up to 2-3 seconds) I'm sure some slowing is normal but I never saw near this much in the other cars I've owned.

I live up in Canada, and in the morning the LCD screen does the same thing untill the car warm up inside. Im thinking that since its an LCD screen (liquid crystal display) that the actual fluid if u wanna call it that is thicked up. And maybe the resistance is higher and the screen "lags". This is just my interpritation of what it could be.

Have not seen this actually. And it's been quite cold last couple days. Mind you different radio from you guys so maybe different LCD.

You may be right, that's how it behaves. Another one to ask about at the dealer. I'd think their initial cold weather testing would have shown this, and they would have tried to improve it some.

I get the same issue. Im in VA and when it drops to around 20 or below. The screen lags untill the car warms up. Sometimes half of the numbers/letters only appear on the screen depending on how cold it is. Never had this issue till winter came around.. Go figure! but in other hand it is nice to see a lot of people have same issue. I thought it was just my car..

Also here is a offtopic question. My windshield wipers squeek like crazy when used. Almost like wiping your finger across clean glass over and over and over again. dont know if you get what im talking about but it doesnt sound right. Does it even when its pooring rain and the windshield is wet. STILL MAKES THAT WIERD SOUND. annoys the hell out of me. eh I dont know anyone else have that issue also?

This is not the first Sentra peculiarity that turned out to be design rather than random defect.

Re: wipers....Switched out the oem wipers for Michelin winter blades right after I took delivery. Can't say I've noticed the squeeking you mention. Seems like wiper noise is often the result of film or contamination on the glass. I've used Bon Ami on windshields and had good success with getting even stubborn stuff off.
