Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade the factory speakers on my 08 Sentra. Crutchfield really limited the number of speakers that will fit in the front door panels and I'm not sure why. Can anyone recommend any speakers? I'm not looking for a receiver or component speaker sets. Also, should I disconnect the factory tweeters if I'm replacing the door speakers?

I guess not... well at least I can change the rear speakers for now.

Maybe I'll dig into those front door panels and see what's going on in there, and why Crutchfield is telling me nothing fits.

there all 6x9 speakers. i have all my interiors changed out and amped. However i have 6.5" speakers in there with 6x9 adapters.. choose a good brand. Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, MTX somewhere along those lines.

in my car the two front tweeters that are in the dash are amped to the head unit. Then the door speakers and the trunk speakers are wired to a kicker 4 channel amp. Then i got the 12" L7 in the back off another kicker amp.

If your not planning on amping the speakers or getting a new head unit I see no reason to change the interior speakers, you will see little to no gains. Its like putting an axel back on a car, unless you do the headers down pipe and everything else it wont make any difference.

I got polk DB 6x9 in the door im going to get some DB tweeters and replace the Rear ones with the 6x9s also..

They are fairly inexpensive and sound great in my car.i also want to one day amp them to get it crisp and loud!

in addition does anyone have all new speakers and have thei volume lowered by the car if it goes to high? i want to get rid of that so bad. i heard it was the headunit and an aftermarket one will stop it. however i dont want to lose the toggle feature of my MPG,DTE,MPH and TIME. all that stuff any help?

Thanks
