It happens in october normally, as far as it being open to the public I have heard that it is but tickets from what I understand are pritty steep all things considered around 100 or so. As far as the show goes its pritty bad *** from what my friend says he has been twice, he goes for the show one day then goes for the strippers the next so for him its always an amazing time.

I was just assuming it was opened to the public since my friend keeps going. So you maybe right and he may be getting in threw some other means. I will have to ask him the next time I see him.

I'm pretty sure it's closed to the public and you have to get invited to go.

SEMA is not open to the public, its open to vendors and manufacturers and so on. In other words, you have to be affiliated with some type of car business to get in (on paper for the show at least). As far as the tickets, I'd be more worried about hotels and flights.

My bad for my assumptions on sema being open up to the public. I just talked to my friend yesterday and he told me how he gets in, it seems that he is friends with some of they guys at one of the local shops around here that goes on a regular basis. so to make a little extra money I guess they charge him 100 for the ability to go under the pretense that he is an employee of theirs. Granted along with that he also picks up some go fast parts for his car from these guys at the same time otherwise they would probably charge him more for the ability to go.

Again sorry about the assumptions about the show just figured it was open if he got in.

While you do need to be affiliated with a car related biz, it is possible to wander around outside and look at the displays, cars, etc. Up to now they have not checked for show id's there and it is awesome. I've been going with a friend who used to have a muffler shop and have been going for 20 years or so. They still sent him an invite even tho he doesn't own thew business antmore.
