this sounds like the transmission, transfer case, or rear diff. gears can cause a whine. have you ever changed the fluid in the transfer case or rear diff?
I think I've had clunks over hard left right - slow speed turns.. reminiscent of a strut tower bearing or urethane bushing in a control arm.. While i have that problem, i didn't bring that one up to them, rare occurrence.
AS far as this one, yea 58-63mph - more noticeable during light acceleration or light deceleration.. They ordered whole rear diff assembly - said not cost effective to replace gears, etc. - however they said, that the parts shipping company for Nissan and multiple other car companies went belly up, that was slowing down getting the parts.. Gave me a stripped 2013 Rogue FWD... tell ya what, for whatever reason the transmission on the 13 is silent. my 08 sounds like rocks rumbling around when CVT belts are not under tension.. What a difference......
Anyhow, only 62K on the car, hadn't gotten to any rear diff service... Replaced CVT fluid at 60K.. and Coolant at 50ish.. I guess i won't have to replace the diff fluid now, since a replacement is going to do it for me..
I'm just fishing around for people's experience.. My car has been sitting at the dealer for a week, so i don't have any answers myself yet...
