I hate asking a question with the first post on a new forum but,

Trying to help mother out with her Rogue, and I'm just not familiar with Japanese cars at all, my scan tool doesn't seem to want to properly read it either..

Has a CEL, scanner comes up with P2a00, which doesn't seem to be a normal code, google tells me that I'm probably looking at an O2 sensor... thats no biggie.

But while driving the car, she's complained about high rpm and bad fuel mileage, I took it out for a drive and it seemed okay, until I tried to turn around in a driveway. It wouldnt reverse up the incline, I could put the throttle to the floor and nothing... rpms would come up about 100 but the car wouldn't move... Tried going forward then back o reverse... same thing. Finaly put it in neutral and revved it, then back to reverse, and it worked totally normal after that.

My area has a lot of mechanics not willing to touch Nissan's so I'm stuck with this myself, very mechanically inclined, just not familiar with this car. I have an AutoEnginuity so if I have to Ill buy the Nissan package and then ill be able read every sensor on the car, but if I can avoid that I'd like to.

Thanks in advance!...

Took it to a mechanic and came up with some codes that seem to be involved...

P0725
P1705
P0703

sound like a Faulty Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. The P0725 Codes is triggered when Transmission Control Module (TCM) does not receive the engine speed signal from Engine Control Module (ECM).

or

Faulty Brake Switch
