Okie so a few weeks ago when i picked up my car the dealer changed all brakes I notice a few days later that one rotor in the rear had grooves in it.. A few days later the other rear had the same. So i didnt think to much of it and ordered EBC rear sport rotors they come gold plated I installed them myself without issue..

No noice at all breaks great heres the drive side since they were gold u see the scrapping and then look silver where the brakes meets the rotor

if you notice the rotors looks perfect great contact good scrapping all now herees the issues with the passenger side

As you can see there is still gold left on the outer side of the rotors theres maybee about 70 or so miles on these rotors now i believe i took the tire off break looks flat touching all 4 corners looked fine.. Whats even more confusing the other side of the rotors Same rotor is scrapping fine i checked that when i had the tire off... hmm soo confusing any ideas???

Thanks

Its clearly not contacting properly. It almost looks like a perfect split. When you say the dealer replaced the brakes, does that mean pads, rotors, or both? If you noticed grooves on the rotors they installed, I would bet they didnt change the pads as well.

well the dealer replaced the breaks only and the rotors warped I then order the current rotors that are installed now these I installed myself along with brand new break pads.. I figured it was making contact either but i dont get how since the back side is making contact fine and the break is on perfect I guess im going to have to take the tire off again I just dont get it.. what should i look for when i have the tire off?

I would just make sure the pads are seated properly and in 1 piece.

Rotor cant be defective. It looks fine, simply the pad is not making contact. This could be a caliper issue or a pad issue.

Dont change anything until you inspect them and see what the problem is.

When you installed the rotors and pads, did the pads come with a little packet of grease? Did you use it? Did you make sure the pad was seated properly?

So I found out like everyone sound the Rotors were not the issue and guess what they werent the issue was me

Apparently I put the wrong pad on the out part of the caliper which had a little raised circular bump which was stopping the break from making contact with the out part of the rotor. So I went back to the auto store since I have a warrentee on the breaks bought new breaks and i can replace the used ones for a refund and now i just got to work and the gold on the rotor is now scrapped. So hopefully I didnt ruin the rotor in the proces of my dumb mistake but thanks for the help :)
