My dad has the 2008 QX56. Inside of the lower grille seems to be the radar for the speed of the vehicle when on cruise. Is that what it is? (ill get a picture soon) I would like to know if you can still put a lower grille in that area without messing up the radar, if thats what it is. Thank you

You are correct! That is the box for the Laser Guided Cruise. If you block it with a grille, it will not function properly. You would need to cut the grille around the box.

I put on another grille and have never tried my cruise. I better go try it.

Good luck, let us know what you find out, I have heard that some grilles don't interfere, it probably depends on the mesh of the grille.

Would love to see pictures of that Grille you have .. Post them if you can ... :-)

any word on this? i wanna get my dad some christmas gifts and the grilles would make him happy

I can probably guarantee you that you will choose looks over function... Like you would use that cruise stuff newayz... I would prefer to keep my foot on the gas...It likes to consume alot of fuel...Got to feed her..yah know..

Well, most of any aftermarket grill will not work with that function... Hence aftermarket and usually they make it for looks not function. There is a website that has pretty much all the grills for the QX56 or Armada and it states each grill that does or does not work with each grill..
