I've searched and can't seem to find a solution for my issue.

Most of the time the AC blows cold, but sometimes, when in stop and go traffic, the air will quit blowing cold and will blow warm air and when it does this I notice the temp gauge goes up slightly. Then the air will start blowing cold again when we start to move. Both of my radiator fans are working and I've checked the engine coolant level and it is fine.

Any ideas on what I need to check?

Thanks.

It sounds to me like your radiator fans are crapping out every once in a while. Perhaps there's a lose connection to one of your fans? That's the only thing I can think of that would affect your coolant temp and A/C at the same time (airflow through the grill). A slight variation in A/C temp is to be expected in stop and go traffic as opposed to being on the highway, but if you're noticing that it's actually blowing warm air, that's not really normal.

Hmm... I don't like intermittent problems. Seems like the only way to know for sure if the issue is with the fan would be to replace it?

Intermittent problems with electrical stuff usually means a lose connection somewhere. When my fan relay went out one summer, I just jimmy-rigged it straight to the battery whenever I went somewhere while I was waiting for the part to come in. You could give that a shot to see if that helps.

Check your relays and fuses.. My old 02 did this before and the high speed fuse was blown

So here's an update to my situation:

I replaced the fans, radiator cap, thermostat, and had radiator flushed and filled but still same problem. This is very frustrating!

When driving on highway the temp is always normal and AC blows cold. But when hitting traffic and having to slow to a stop or a traffic lights, the temp gauge with go up past 3/4 and then start blowing warm air out of the vents. This doesn't always happen and it will generally return to normal temp and again blow cold air after a few minutes. I'm at a complete loss. Have already spent $350 and still having same problem.

Any ideas?

thanks.
