I’m having an issue where when I flip on my high beams, the lights are slightly brighter than low beams but do not shine down the road like they used to. I switched the bulbs and the fuses under the hood and even swapped out the terminal block at the positive battery terminal. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions on what else could be wrong?

Are they HID/Zenons on your high beams? If so the bulbs might be worn out. On a BMW I used to have with zenons they got so bad one night I pulled over, got out and looked to see what they looked like they seemed so dim. They were on, looking at them they didn't really seem that dim, but damn, driving they sure did. New bulbs from the Retrofit source and bam, I could see again. Wow, what a difference!

HID lamps often don't really burn out like a conventional bulb, but they dim with age.

If you have halogens, ignore the above.

They were straight open replacements. There is only one bulb that does both hi and low beams. I put new bulbs in and same results as the old bulbs
