My 2008 Pathfinder LE came equiped with a compact flash card slot. When the flash card is inserted into the slot, all the files can be viewed on the monitor and all the songs will play. When the car is driven for a while, the card reader can no longer read and play all the files. The compact flash card is very warm to the touch. I took it to the dealer and they were no help since when they tested it the car was cold. Therefore they said everthing was fine and I must have loaded some unreadable files. This is after I told them that it reads and plays all files until things get warm. After reading through the manual, it says that the cf feature may not work correctly if the cabin temperature is too warm, and I should adjust the cabin temp. In most cases the cabin temp was not warm, but I think that the cf drive gets hot on it's own. Perhaps it's location behind the dash is near something that's generating heat. In this case it's an inherant design flaw.Has anyone had this experience and if so, please let me know what happened!
