A tree limb fell and crushed in the back half of the roof along with a good portion of the trunk. When I say caved in ...I mean it....behind the front seat the roof is smashed to head rest level, back window busted out and trunk smashed on left side. Tops of both rear door have very deep dents as well. Think the insurance will total it? Wish I could post a picture, but can't at the moment.

Believe it or not, it's not that hard to cut a car in half and just replace the whole back of the car. A guy I know when to a tech school for body work and they made every one in the class cut a car in half and weld it back together and re-finish so that it looked new again.

Possibly. Hard to say. Sounds like the estimate will end up fairly close to what the car is worth.

That's a lot of glass, metal, doors, possibly airbags, etc.

Has water gotten into it?

Is there a lien against it? That could be the deciding factor.
