2008 Nissan Sentra died and i need HELP PLEASE

My Wifes 08 Nissan Sentra on her way to work as she says it made a small fart like noise then died on her!
as for the fart noise??
Well the engine will start like normal but it has a very rough idle and dies in a few minutes and if you step on the fuel pedal it dies right away!
To me it sounds and feels like it is not getting enough fuel but with only 80,000 miles i do not think the fuel pump went out but?
On my ODB2 code reader i get no codes but the emissions blink on the 02 sensor and the eva???? and the cat on the ODB2
when the engine starts it runs with small surges at idle then like no fuel it dies?? i think it's a no fuel but this could be a sensor?? but what one
has anyone run into this before??
can someone steer me on the best way to fix this without dumping allot of parts at it
