Had a code come up for a crank sensor so replaced the sensor. The code came back but would not start. Now there is a P0340 code as well as a P0118 coolant code that is intermittent. Car occasionally starts one minute and then only cranks the next. All the wires have continuity from the plug to the ecu. Any ideas?

P0340 is a cam sensor code (CMP) and not crank (CKP). The P0118 is most likely a separate issue, but it could be related if the CKP and ECT have a common ground connection.

If your original crank code was P0335 and the P0340 is new, and if the new CKP sensor is aftermarket, there's a decent chance it's magnetically out-of-phase with the CMP sensor. Try taking the bolt out of the CMP sensor and rotating it 90 or 180 degrees and see if the car starts. If so, the new CKP sensor is screwed up.
