Ok guys, here's the scoop!

There's been lots of confusion as to what is going on with the Nopi Nationals/Motorsports Nationals/AC Delco Nationals/NICOFEST, so here's what's really going on:

The show that was formerly known as the Nopi Nationals is now called the Motorsports Nationals. The venue has in fact changed and will now be at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA. NICOFEST will be a part of this show and it will be held on Saturday and Sunday (September 20th-21st).

For the first time, this show is now an indoor venue. Indoor parking is very limited, however NICO has secured an inside area for all Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun owners register under NICO as a club. You MUST pre-register to take advantage of this. Registration for the Motorsports Nationals can be done at http://www.motorsportsnationals.com/. The registration page is not open yet, but check back daily as it will be open some time soon. Remember to put NICO as your club or else you may end up parked outside, away from all the other Nissans.

The show will extend outside the convention center and into the parking lot, however you'll want to be indoors, in the air conditioning, and with all the other NICO members. So register under NICO!!

Friday night we will still have our annual pre-meet dinner at Roadhouse Grill and those details can be found here:zerothread/357328

A block of hotel rooms is reserved for NICO members. Information on how to get one of these rooms is here:zerothread/342494

AC Delco Nationals:There is a show that is going to still be held at AMS the same weekend but will be Friday and Saturday. This is going to be called the AC Delco Nationals. Please note that this is a completely different show, and is not part NICOFEST or the Motorsports Nationals. If you're in town Friday, feel free to check out this show at AMS, but keep in mind, NICOFEST will only be at the GICC Motorsports Nationals show.

Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll provide as much information as I can! Also, please do not post up any more threads regarding the confusion between the 2 venues, as it will only confuse more people. There is only one show that NICOFEST will be at, and it will be at the GICC.

Also, please note that this is possibly the last show NICOFEST will do in Atlanta. Due to lack of attendance last year, we are considering dropping this show from our schedule after this year. If you don't want to see that happen, make sure to register! As long as the turnout for NICO is on the upswing, we will continue to do the Atlanta show, but otherwise this will be the last year for us in Atlanta!!

I'm in. The wife is even coming this time. It should be a good time.

Hopefully a couple more drunken people around the pool won't upset anybody.

The wife and I should be able to come on Saturday only. I don't think the 240 will be ready in time though. I have a few issues to address and don't think I'll have the time to fix them before the show. EZ, I'm pretty sure that the 240atlanta crowd is planning on attending the show at AMS. If so, that will hurt turnout.

EDIT: nvm, I found the thread that DjQ posted yesterday on 240atl.

so what's the etiquette on hondas registering in the NICO booth? Particurally, crappy looking hondas? I don't wanna park outside, but I don't wanna pull a yoko and break up the band.

I think we'll do the same thing we usually do. Just have you near us but set aside a row for non-Nissan NICO members.

To park at NICO, do we just register as for the 2 day weekend, or do we register as car show participants?

Done

What other non-nissan NICO members are gonna be there? (Who am I parking next to). Is Greg going? Is he bringing a rental?

As of this morning....only 8 people!!!

What's with everyone? This is ridiculous. By this time last year we had almost 80 people registered. So much for us doing the Atlanta show in 09. With a turnout this bad we may as well stop doing shows altogether.

I have a feeling that maybe the word hasn't gotten around that it's no longer cancelled. I've talked to a few regulars that have attended the past couple of years and all of them weren't going because they thought it was still cancelled. Now they're not going because it's too short of notice for them to go.

I'm probably going to go but I'm not 100% yet. I'm going to see if I can drag a few locals with me to share the fuel cost of driving my Titan down there.

Well, I just found out about this thing today. I might actually decide to go if I can get my car running, my wangan wing on, and my coilovers. God knows I want to go to a Nico event. you all should remember my bitching and moaning from years past lol. well, this time I'm actually in the country and within like 6-7 hours driving distance. I might convince some other 240 owners to come too!

we don't get any discount for having Nico as our club do we?....Give a man some incentive!

All NICO parking will be in doors. If you have trouble getting in, tell them you are with NICO, or call one of us. My cell # is 404-819-5496.
